Minhaj-ul-Quran International to hold National Peace Conference on April 9
Addressing a press conference in the Lahore Press Club, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, has declared that MQI will organize “National Peace Conference” on April 9, 2009, to consider ways and means to stem the ongoing terrorist wave that has even engulfed the law-enforcement agencies.
It is sadly informed that Vice Chancellor of Minhaj University Prof Dr Muhammad Nazir Romani passed away to the endless Mercy of his Gracious Lord.
By the grace of Allah Almighty & Wasilla of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) a beautiful Mehfil-e-Milaad was organized by Minhaj-ul-Qura’n Women League Vehari. The program started with the recitation of Holy words from the Holy Book of Guidance _Qura’n. Then a number of beautiful Nasheeds were sung by sisters of Minhaj-ul-Qura’n Women League Bara Ghar. MEMBERS of the Newham based Minhaj-ul-Quran international organisation along with members of other Muslim organisations and institutions under the umbrella of the Sufi Muslim Council joined in a unique celebration at the UK House of Commons to mark the 1429th birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The celebration was held on Wednesday 1st April 2009 at the heart of London’s political establishment in Westminster.
THOUSANDS of Muslims visited the Waltham Forest Town Hall on Forest Road on Saturday, 28th of March 2009, for a prestigious celebration to mark the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The festival is celebrated by millions of Muslims around the world via recitation of Naat and programmes of Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW). The festival is a national holiday in Syria, Libya, Egypt, Morocco and Pakistan among other countries.

Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International London was invited to represent Islam at the International Day of Faith and Culture held at Penrose Community Centre, Islington in London on 24th March 2009. A stall was arranged where literature and books were put on display for people to take for free. Attendees visited the stall with keen interest to learn more and seek awareness on issues related to a faith which is greatly misunderstood in the West.
Keeping in view the MQI’s unique tradition of celebration of the milad of the Holy Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) as a cultural event, PAK ALMIE CENTRE BREMEN GERMANY hosted a grand milad festival and Pakistan Day on 23rd March 2009. The event took place in Turkish cultural centre. The programme was well attended by a large number of Pakistani families in Bremen as well as a number of Turkish and Arbish families whose children are studying at Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre.
The youth of Farghana Institute successfully hosted celebrations on the birth of the beloved Prophet (SAW) in the form of a ‘Mawlid Festival’ in collaboration with Muslim Youth League UK. The event took place at the University of Manchester on Sunday 22nd March 2009 under the guidance of the principal of Farghana Institute, Shaykh Muhammad Ramadan Al-Qadri.
By the Grace of Allah Almighty & the blessings of His Holy Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W.) and the fayz of Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Tahir-ul-Qadri the great 4th annual ceremony of Mehfil-e-Milaad-e-Mustafa (S.A.W.) Pyambar-e-Aman Conference was held on Sunday at 9am in the Eid Gah Ground Chakwal. Preparations for this ceremony were on the full swing right from the very beginning of the Holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal. All people of the society were invited to participate. Representatives from almost all the schools, colleges and NGO’s participated actively & showed their love for our Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.). This was the biggest ever function held in the history of Chakwal. For the first time about 8,000 women gathered to celebrate the birth of their beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Mehfil-e-Milaad’s duration was 9am to 2pm.

A get-together ceremony in the wake of successful International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference was held on March 16, 2009 in the hall of Gosha-e-Durood in the Central Secretariat. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri graced the occasion as a special guest, whereas Amir-e-Tehreek Miskin Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, G.M. Malik, Allama Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti, Shahzad Rasool Qadri and other leaders were also present at the occasion.
On the 15th March 2009 under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Women League, Fatehpur, Pakistan, the sisters organized a program to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). Alhamdulillah, the true message of Milaad-un-Nabi (peace be upon Him and His family) and of Minhaj-Ul-Qur’an was beautifully and powerfully conveyed to the audience of over 2000 sisters through the deliverance of speech and touching Nasheeds.
Mohtarma Ayesha Quratulain, the daughter of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, got married with Muhammad Usman Qadri, the son of Muhammad Hashim Qadri. The marriage ceremony was held in the Minhaj-ul-Quran Park, Lahore, in front of central secretariat on March 14, 2009.

Minhaj-ul-Quran International has the unique tradition of celebrating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) as a cultural event. It holds hundreds of gatherings both inside as well as outside Pakistan to celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner. Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Japan chapter) also organized a prestigious Mahfil e Milad (S.A.W) to celebrate the occasion with religious fervour. Keeping in view the number of participants, it turned out to be the biggest ever Mawlid Conference held in the history of Japan.
