Protest demonstrations being held under the banner of Pakistan Awami Tehreek in 60 cities of the country have reached their climax as people took to streets in their hundreds of thousands to join these demonstrations to reject the incumbent electoral system and show lack of confidence in a government that came into being as a result of the country’s most corrupt and fraudulent elections. The demonstrations have put up a very good spectacle of a very strong bond between Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and the people of Pakistan.
Speaking to these protest demonstrations through a video link, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that time for reconstruction of Pakistan had come. He said that if the present rulers stayed on in corridors of power, the people would be compelled to commit suicides. He said that he had no intention to derail democracy but added in the same breath that there was nothing in the country that could be interpreted as democracy in the country. He said that a system where the poor went without food, the mothers sold their babies for want of resources to feed them and poverty ruled the roost did not deserve to be called democracy.

On 11th May 2014, the Minhaj Women League (Burnley) held a gathering of sisters to show their support for the 11th May Nationwide public protest held in Pakistan under the leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
On Saturday 10th May 2014, Minhaj Women League UK Executive Team presented a training workshop for the Minhaj Women League Midlands Zone chapters. Workshop was arranged at Minhaj-ul-Quran International Walsall. Main Aims of the event was to provide training and guidance to the chapters’ office holders in different fields of work.
On Friday 9th May, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran held a Khatam Sharif and ‘Giyarvi Sharif gathering’ in honour of the Grand Shaykh late Nazim Al Haqqani (RA) who passed away. The Shaykh, who was a good friend of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, passed away on Thursday 8th May 2014, after a short illness. The gathering was attended by all the teachers and students of the education centre.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is deeply saddened today to hear about the passing away of Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani Naqshbandi who is spiritual guide for many Muslims around the world. He has visited Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at Minhaj-ul-Quran International Lahore, Pakistan and was a close friend of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
On Friday 25th April 2014, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran, Nelson, held a Naat competition and monthly spiritual gathering of ‘Giyarvee Shareef’ for young female students studying at the education centre. The competition was a great success, with students from all the female classes participating actively. The winners were chosen from each class to ensure fairness in terms of age and ability.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Walsall chapter) organized a monthly spiritual gathering on May 4, 2014 to mark the occasion of ‘Giyarvi Shareef’. More than 35 women attended the programme. Miss Lubna conducted the proceedings of the programme.
On 4th May 2014, Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, Bispevej Denmark, organised an annual Miraj-un-Nabi (P.B.U.H) Conference for females. The event was attended by a large number of ladies and youth from the surrounding areas. The hosting duties were fulfilled in the best manner by the president of the youth league, Tayyeba Kausar. Mehmoona Siraj, a student from the department of Hifz, was given the privilege of reciting the verses of the Holy Quran. Hamd was recited by Hajrah Shah.

In her remarks, chief guest Dr. Nahla Naini Garavi said, “Allah Almighty bestowed Fatima (RA) with vast share of greatness and high level of majesty which no other woman can ever claim. She said, “Fatima Al Zahra is a perfect example for today’s wife, daughter and a mother”.
On the invitation of MQI-USA President, Mr. Razi Niazi and MQI-Houston, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri attended several memorable evenings in Houston, USA. The main function was the wedding ceremony of the daughter of MQI-USA President, Mr. Razi Niazi on April 17th & 18th. MQI members from different countries attended this event by invitation as well. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri prayed Jumma’h at Jamia Ghous-e-Azam in Houston, USA and met with other local USA chapters to discuss their organizational matters and gave them guidance.
On April 20, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri visited the shrine of Dar-ul-Huda. Gaddi Nasheen Sufi Wilayat Hussain Qadri welcomed him on his arrival. The matters of mutual interest including work and contributions of MQI came under discussion in the meeting. Sufi Meezan-ur-Rehman expressed his desire of converting the seminary there into MQI Centre. Later on, Dr Hassan also had meetings with the Gaddi Nasheens of shrines of Maizbhandara and exchanged matters of mutual interest with them.
