LAHORE: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that article 62 and 63 were not implemented and ineligible candidates were allowed to participate in election. Addressing a press conference here in Lahore, Qadri said that his demands were not met as the Returning Officers (ROs) did not ask a single question regarding article 62 and 63.
All Punjab inter-collegiate quiz competition titled “Brain of Sarf” was held under the banner of Minhaj College for Women on April 20, 2013. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri‚ has said Election 2013 would neither change the system nor the faces. He was talking to media here at the Allama Iqbal International Airport upon his return from London. To a question he said Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran's sit-ins would be peaceful‚ yet powerful in all respect. "The sit-ins will in fact be our vote against the system. We mean no harm to the vote. Our rallies would keep a safe distance from the polling stations. We only want to protest against the system"‚ said Qadri.
Announcing to stage sit-ins across Pakistan on May 11, the chief of MQI, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, late Monday night said Election 2013 would neither change the system nor the faces. “The “champions of change” would be hanging their heads in regret over the treachery they will be dealt with at the end of the day as the polls-to-come are neither free nor transparent”, said he talking to media here at the Allama Iqbal International Airport upon his return from London.
Talking to the media at the Lahore Airports, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the coming general election would bring no changes in the system even the faces won’t be changed. "It would be the worst elections held thus far in Pakistan," he added. Those raising the slogan of change would be protesting on the election day's night after they see being cheated through polls, he said. He said that PAT would stage sit-ins across the country on May 11. He said the sit-ins would be peaceful, yet powerful in all respect.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the system was going to install the same crop of plunderers and looters back into corridors of power on May 11. He said that what to speak of the system, even the faces would not change. He said that illegally composed Election Commission baptized the tax cheats and loan defaulters by violating the Constitution and cleared them in the highly questionable scrutiny process. Now they would have every justification to claim that they were declared eligible under Articles 62 and 63 and there was no blot on their character.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that it was climax for humanity that it was blessed with cleanliness and purification due to the person of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He said that when each and every part of human body starts exuding piety, the man becomes the friend of Allah Almighty.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was allocated the topic of “Unity of Umma and Reason of Sectarianism”. Expressing his views, Dr Hussain dilated upon the subject of decline of Muslim world in the global background, possible ways to get out of it, and a comprehensive roadmap for a better future of the Islamic world. He also highlighted the need of focusing on knowledge, research, and technology development and allocating sufficient resources to achieve these purposes. The delegates appreciated Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri for his meaty and thought-provoking speech.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that PAT’s sit-in on May 11 would be a vote against the system of corruption, lawlessness, nepotism, hooliganism and terrorism. He said that it was responsibility of the institutions to decide about eligibility of the candidates contesting elections. He quoted a Quranic verse in which Allah Almighty ordained His Servants to deposit their trusts with those who were worthy of the same.

A 3-day getaway attracts youth from all parts of the UK to attend a ‘Spiritual Retreat’, a camp organised by Muslim Youth League UK. The retreat took place earlier last month from the 5th till 7th of April, at Minhaj ul Quran’s Walsall branch.
Shaykh Ramadan Al Madani from (UK) gave an inspiring, humorous and reviving lecture on ‘’Are we exceeding the love of Prophet (pbuh)’’. Allama Nasir Awan from Norway also delivered a lecture about ‘’Practicing Sunnah in the West’’ and gave suggestions to live a more conscious and greener life as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did. Last but not the least, the evening ended with Nasheed concert performed by Shahid Falahi.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the humanity was faced with a plethora of problems. He said that so widespread and deeply rooted were the problems that from the UNO down to any NGO, all people and organizations were worried by the magnitude of the challenges. He said that the solutions to contemporary problems which had become the bane of the humanity were offered by Islam 1400 years ago.
Addressing the monthly spiritual gathering, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri referred to a verse from the Holy Quran wherein citing His own and His angel’s example of sending greetings and salutations on the Prophet (PBUH), He ordains the believers to send greetings and salutations on him in abundance as well. Durood-o-Salam, Dr Hussain said, in this context is an excellent and unique worship. He said that it is a worship in which Allah Almighty and His angels also take part along with His subjects.

Lord Nazir Ahmad said that facilitating anyone to avoid scrutiny process as prescribed under Articles 62 and 63 would be akin to committing treason. He said that the previous government broke past corruption records and turned the country into the land of darkness. He asked those parroting the mantra of democracy to decide on the basis of national and collective interests instead of personal ones.

The elderly ShaykhDr Ramadan al-Buti, reportedly in his 80s, was President of the Association of Islamic Scholars of Syria. In Syria, he was a grand mufti from the Sunni school of thought.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that sit-ins would be held throughout the country but added in the same breath that the participants of the sit-ins would not stop anyone from casting his/her vote. They would just get their protest registered against the incumbent system recorded. He said that the purpose of staging these sit-ins would was not to disrupt polling but to convey the nation that electoral system was at the heart of their problems and they needed to wage a sustained struggle against it to bring about comprehensive change.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri visited Minhaj College for Women in Township on March 25, 2013. He was given a red carpet welcome on his arrival by the administration of the college. Bazm-e-Minhaj arranged a training session in Mustafavi hall of the college. Shaykh-ul-Islam was the keynote speaker on the occasion. The purpose of the sitting was to familiarize the students with the modern-day demands in the field of education, increase their understanding of religion and impart them moral and spiritual training.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the nation suffered from insecurity and despondency because the unreal and unrepresentative leaders that came after the demise of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah deviated from his vision and violated the spirit of Pakistan’s Ideology. He said that long-term policies were not formulated. He said that it was unfortunate that the nuclear status of the country, a matter of pride otherwise, had become its weakness and posed a threat due to weak political system and collapsing economy.
