MQI holds demonstrations to protest human rights violation in Myanmar
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Lahore chapter) held a demonstration in front of Lahore Press Club to protest the massacre of Muslim Rohingya community in Myanmar (Burma) on August 2, 2012 in which hundreds of people participated. The demonstration was led by G.M. Malik, naib Nazim-e-Ala of MQI and Irshad Ahmad Tahir, Amir of MQI Lahore.

The fourth lecture of the series of lectures known as Duroos e Irfan-ul-Quran was delivered on July 25, 2012 under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Burewala chapter) at Askari Law College, Afaq Khan Chowk, Burewala. Allama Rana Nafees Hussain Qadri, the student of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, was the keynote speaker on the occasion.

Allama Muhammad Ahmad Raza gave a lecture on the topic of ‘Service of Religion and Spending in the way of Allah’. He based his talk on the text of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic traditions. The people of the area appreciated MQI for its initiative to educate them about the fundamentals of the Holy Quran. They congratulated the local office bearers for the wonderful arrangements.
Allama Hafiz Saeed-ul-Hassan Tahir delivered his lecture on subject of the practices of the Holy Prophet (SAW) during the holy month of Ramadan. He said that Ramadan was an occasion to amass as many rewards and spiritual blessings as one could.

Lectures on Holy Quran key to understand Islam
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Burewala chapter) organized a series of Duroos-e-Irfan-ul-Quran in connection with the holy month of Ramadan. The first lecture of the series took place on July 22, 2012. Allama Muhammad Afzal Qadri, the student of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was the keynote speaker on the occasion.
Allama Ghazanfer Hussain Qadri delivered his lecture on the Islamic concept of collectivity. He said that the Islamic community was divided into different sections and local identities today. He said that people tended to approach their religion through sectarian approach and did not hesitate from decreeing others out of the pale of Islam.
