Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered a special lecture at the Peace Conference Sydney on Saturday 16th July 2011. The conference was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Australia and was attended by hundreds of people coming from various ethnical backgrounds and different parts of Australia including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and other regional cities as well as from Fiji and New Zealand. The conference was attended by Barbara Perry, Shadow Minister of NSW for Family and Community Services and the Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane, the member of the NSW Legislative Council.
On Saturday 16th July 2011, MQI Bradford celebrated the night of Shab-e-Baraat in which approximately 300 people participated. It commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Hafiz Muddassir Raja and followed by a few nasheeds by Muhammad Huzaifa Al- Yamani, Muhammad Ijaz Qadri and Awais Hussain.
Minhaj Youth League (MYL) started its intensive course of the summer 2011, on Saturday, the 16th of July. It was a 15 hour course spread over three days. Shaykh Ramadan al-Qadri al-Azhari led the course titled “Muslim Youth in the Western world”, including multiple topics. The last session included some facts about MQI as a worldwide organization.
The inaugural ceremony of Minhaj Free Poly Clinic was held on July 16, 2011 under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Ravi Town, Mughlia Park,Shahdra Lahore. Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, was the guest of honour on the occasion. Muhammad Ahmad Moin, Assistant Director of MWF, Dr Asghar Ali, Dr Qasim and others were also present on the occasion.
On Friday 15th July, MYL sisters arrived, set up a MYL stall outside the Westgate Church under a graying cloudy sky. But despite the cold, a large number of people turned up. Bradford’s Lord Mayor, Naveeda Ikram, the first Muslim Asian woman to become Lord Mayor in UK, made a personal appearance.
For the second time in a row, Minhaj Youth League organized trip to the Norwegian mountainous areas of Sjoa. The purpose of the trip was to connect bonds, get engaged in constructive religious discussions and to be active outdoor.This year’s main event was rafting alongside the Sjoa river.
Establishment of peace possible through teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW): Minhaj-ul-Quran International
According to Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, if ten million people out of 170 million awaken their consciousness and stand up against the present exploitative, cruel, dishonest and elitist system and launch their peaceful and democratic struggle, none can stop the change from happening. Today, we do not have a system worth its name in the country with the result that the country suffers from the worst leadership deficit. The system, which is being protected, is structured along corrupt and undemocratic lines. It is instrumental in protecting the interests of the vested interests.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri visited New South Wales (NSW) Parliament House on Monday 11th July 2011 and delivered a special lecture and had a discussion with several members of the parliament on the issues of terrorism and integration. He was invited by the member of the NSW Legislative Council, the Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane MLC. The audience at the lecture comprised members of the NSW Legislative Council, ministers, politicians, policy makers, senior scholars and religious leaders, etc.
Sunday, 10th July 2011, Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Bradford) organised a programme in the honour of Lahrasib Khan Gondal President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (Punjab, Pakistan), Vice Chairman Punjab Bar Council, Mumtaz Mustafa (Member Punjab Bar Council) and Malik Ghulam Abbas (Member Punjab Bar Council) in Minhaj-ul-Quran Bradford.
Mr Lahrasib Khan Gondal briefed Mr MacAskill about the purpose of their visit to UK and also about the activities of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT, Pakistan). Mr MacAskill said he was delighted to meet the delegates and Mr Gondal invited Mr MacAskill to visit Pakistan to see the work of Pakistan Awami Tehreek. Mr Gondal presented the ‘Fatwa on Terrorism & Suicide Bombings’ written by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, to Mr MacAskill.
The training department of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (MWL) organized a 7-day Islamic Learning Course from July 4 to July 10, 2011 in Minhaj College for Women (MCW), Township. Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Gujar Khan chapter) organized a ‘Bedari e Shaoor’ Workers Convention in Jinnah Hall, GT Road, Gujar Khan on July 10, 2011. Pir Sayyid Saddique Hussain Shah, patron of MQI Gujar Khan, presided over the Convention, while the chief guests included acting Secretary General of MQI Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Director Foreign Affairs Raja Jamil Ajmal, and District Coordinator Anar Khan Gondal.
Allah Almighty has blessed Raja Zahid Mahmood and Mohtrama Qurat-ul-Ain Fatima (son-in-law and daughter of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri) with a son. The birth of Hamid Mustafa Qadri is great news for the workers, associates and leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
A three-day meeting of Students Parliament and Training Camp was held under the banner of Mustafavi Students Movement in the Youth Hostel at a recreational place called Khanpur of Ayubia, Murree from July 8 to July 10. The office bearers of MSM from different colleges, universities, medical colleges from all over the country attended the meeting. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Allah Almighty bestowed knowledge of each and everything on the Holy Prophet (SAW) and nothing was kept hidden from him. Allah Almighty mentioned the name of the Holy Prophet (SAW) after His Own Name and made it His Sunna. He also declared him to be the last Prophet.
