The Muslim Youth League UK (MYL UK) organised the ‘New Year Dhikr 09’ which took place at the Minhaj ul Quran International mosque in London. The event which took place at the eve of the New Year was focused around the remembrance of the Lord Almighty. The gathering was attended by more than 500 people consisting mostly of youth.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League organized a 'prayer night' on December 31, 2008, to welcome the dawning of New Year 2009 and for safety and security of the country in the central secretariat in the Model Town. A beautiful venue, decorated with electronic bulbs and heaters, was set up where separate arrangements were also made for female participants.
College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences (COSIS) of the Minhaj University arranged a Mehfil-e-Naat and speech contest on December 30, 2008 in connection with the holy month of Mohurram. Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, member of the Supreme Council (MQI), presided over the programme under the banner of Bazm-e-Minhaj, whereas the Principal Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi and Prof Dr Syed Abdur Rahman Bukhari were the guests of honour.
Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, member of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, expressed these views while addressing Sialkot Chambers of Commerce and Industry yesterday. Nazim-e-Ala MQI Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Khalil-ur-Rehman Chishti, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, and Waseem Hamyun were also present at the occasion. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said Islamic economic system is based on moderation and avoids taking extreme positions. It does not allow injustice with anyone, be it the customer or shopkeeper. It favours equal distribution of profits.

Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Warraich, Minhaj Council for Conflict Resolution Norway, visited the central secretariat of MQI. Upon arrival, G.M. Malik, Director Foreign Affairs, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Tahir Deputy Director Foreign Affairs welcomed the respected guest in the Directorate of Foreign Affairs. He visited different departments and directorates of MQI including Minhaj University, Tahfeez-ul-Quran Institute and Aagosh (Orphan Care Home)

MCDF was established on Monday, November, 9, 1998 to promote religious tolerance between Muslims and Christians so that they could work for the promotion of peace, human rights, and democracy. The forum was set up at a round-table conference, in which Muslims and Christian religious leaders were invited by the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) organized a national seminar on the subject of "Quaid-e-Azam's Pakistan---An unfulfilled Dream?" in the central secretariat in Model Town in connection with the birth anniversary of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri presided over the programme, whereas Dr Farid Paracha of Jamat-e-Islami was the guest of honour at the occasion.
Women to stand shoulder to shoulder with men in case of war: Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League
On the special invitation of Director of International Gospel Mission, Priest Dr Marqis Fida, a three member delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran International led by Muhammad Mustafa (G.M. Malik), Director Foreign Affairs and Principal Secretary to Shaykh-ul-Islam, along with Mian Abdul Qadir Qadri and Mian Ghulam Murtaza participated in the Christmas programme.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Muslim-Christian Dialogue Forum (MCDF) jointly hosted a Christmas programme in the Danish Hall of the central secretariat in which the Principal Officer of the American Consulate, Brian D. Hunt and Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri were the chief guests. Recitation from the Holy Quran and Bible was made followed by recital of Naat. Christmas hymns were also sung at the occasion. The leaders of both communities cut Christmas cake, lit the candles of peace and expressed solidarity by holding one another’s hands.
A 7-member Christian delegation led by Pastor Mike Boot FGA Bible College and River Fellowship, Lahore, visited the Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on 15th December, 2008. The other members of delegation included Michacel Ramsdenea, Ghaza Yaknezer, Josepha John Boot, Markus Daves Poster Danial Rafiq and Irfan Shahzad.
The Messiah, In light of World Scriptures (An interfaith Event)
By the grace of Almighty God, Al Farghana Minhaj ul Quran Int. (Manchester) held an interfaith event on Sunday 14th December. This event included various members from different religions in a unique multi faith event in the company of Shaykh Ramadan al-Qadri, titled “The Messiah, in the light of world scriptures.”
On the special invitation of Pastor Majid Abel, a three member delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran International led by Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi took part in Christmas programme and celebrations marking the 155th foundation of No-Lakha Church.
