The fifty sixth birthday celebration function was held on the evening of 19th February 2007 at central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Dr. Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi Secretary General of MQI presided over the function while Mr. Yousuf Raza Gillani ex-Speaker National Assembly and Central Leader of Pakistan People Party was Chief Guest at the function.
56th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was celebrated with unfathomable love and reverence on 17th February. Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran organized memorable seminar on his teeming brain and wisdom at Grand Hotel Lahore. The provincial education minister, Mian Imran Masood, honored the ceremony as chief guest and the Shaykh-ul-Islam’s honourable teacher Mawalana Abdur Rasheed Rizvi Jhangvi presided over the seminar. Many intellectuals from various schools of thoughts also participated to register their valuable thoughts and experiences as a tribute to the man of excellent virtues of present time. Minhaj-ul-Quran International held a conference on 9th Muharram at its headquarters in honour of Imam Husayn. The programme was entitled "Lord of Martyrs, our Imam Husayn's (may Allah send peace on him) Martyrdom". The following leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran International participated in the conference: Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Sayyid Ali Ghazanfar Kararvi, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Allamah Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Dr Shaid Mahmood, Khawaja Peer Ghalib Lahori, Allamah Muhammad Usman Sayyalwi, Shakeel Ahmad Tahir and Sahibzadah Muhammad Husayn Azad. Besides, prominent scholars, spiritual teachers, especially Shiah scholars and zakirs, were also present. The vast gathering included the Shiah community, too.
Sahibzada Hussain Mohy-ud-Din Qadri, the younger son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and Member Supreme Council MQI got engaged with the daughter of Safeer-e-Europe Allama Hafiz Nazir Ahmad Khan Qadri Markazi Naib Ameer, who is also a member of Supreme council of MQI. The engagement ceremony was arranged at the Al-Qadriya Model Town Lahore on the sanctified day of Eid-ul-Adha and the first of year 2007.
In the occasion of Christmas, the first inter-confessionnal function ever held in The Pakistani community of France was organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran France on Dec 30, 2006. For this first occasion, both Christian and Muslim brothers and sisters from the Pakistani community were invited to share together a woderfull time and a delicious diner at Minhaj-ul-Quran France Headquarter. The choice by the organisers for this day was not a coincidence but a symbol, as on this day, Muslims were also celebrating one of their biggest sacred day : the Aid-Ad-Daha.

He completed his Bachelor in Business Management and Political Science from York University, Toronto, Canada; and MBA in International Business Management and Economy from Sciences PO University, France (A very well known university in France) in the past five years.

Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran�s preparations are now complete. Thousands of foreigners and domestic Muslims will sit in itkaaf with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Mohammad Tahir ul Qadri on Saturday 14th of October in Jamia ul Minhaj Baghdad town Lahore. What�s special in this i`tikaf is that thousands of women will sit in i`tikaf with men. After Harimain Sharifain the world�s largest itekaaf is held by Minhaj-ul-Quran, in which huge numbers of youngsters from all over the world including America, Britain, Denmark, Australia, Norway etc sit in i`tikaf. People have started coming from Sindh, Baluchistan and foreign countries.

The honorable Speaker and ministers were brifed about. �Itikaf City�, and invited to visit the same during the last week of Ramazan viz Itikaf.
Former Olympian and player of the national hockey team, Mr Khwaja Junaid, visited the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) accompanied by coach of the hockey team Khalid Saeed and Mujahid Afzal (player National Junior Hockey Team). They were all welcomed by Naib Nazim-e-A`ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz. In his meeting Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz briefed the honourable guests about the multi dimensional work of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and the world wide services and achievements of Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Al-Hidayah [the guidance] is a four-day spiritual retreat set in a wonderful countryside setting, at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire. This event that has taken place, is one of the most unique events for Muslim youths living in the west, such an experience will live in our memories for years to come.
Pakistan's Minister of Religion Mr Ejaz-ul-Haq was guest of honour when he recently met with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in London, United Kingdom where he also visited the London branch of the International Minhaj-ul-Qur`an Organistation.
British Treasury Secretary MP Stephen Timms met with Shaykh-ul-Islam in Barking, East London on Friday. Islam, current affairs and politics was on the agenda.When Treasury Secretary Mr Timms spoke to Shaykh-ul-Islam about having taken a step back from the political scene in Pakistan to which Dr Qadri replied that he had lost interest in political affairs in Pakistan due to corruption within the government and judiciary system.
On the 20th August (27th Rajab 1427), Minhaj-ul-Quran International organised a heart-warming gathering, in the celebration and commemoration of the Holy Prophet's (saw) Night Journey, which was telecast LIVE by the prominent channel Q-TV. This extraordinary journey took place during the Makkan Period and in it there are many lessons to be learnt by the Ummah. These wisdoms and realities became clear as light, through the benevolence shown to us by his eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
