So he chose to render the supreme sacrifice of his life and that of his kith and kin to save the religion of his revered grandfather from being disfigured.
Shaykh-ul-Islam has said that the plant of consciousness of ‘Hussainiyat’ that grew from the plains of Karbla will continue to provide the entire humanity with a shadow of abiding justice, democracy, peace and integration till the Day of Judgment. He said that Hazrat Imam e Hussain (A.S.) raised a voice against dictatorship and authoritarianism in such a forceful manner that its reverberations continued to be heard even after the lapse of 15 centuries. He said that the consciousness the great Imam created would keep the head of humanity high as a metaphor of truth. He said that neither did Imam Hussain (A.S.) rebel, nor did he launch an armed struggle nor occupied any part of the land.

He said that according to all schools of thought, such a thought falls in the category of rebellion and crushing the rebels is in keeping with the Islamic law. He said that Islam clearly forbids the organized armed struggle and use of force against an Islamic state, adding that such an act should be dubbed as revolt.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of MQI, has said that journey of revolution was neither like other commonplace journeys of life, nor it is and nor it will be. He said that this caravan for revolution had its unique dynamics which distinguished it from other normal, everyday life journeys because the destination it was headed to was unique in its own way. He said that the journey of revolution had taken off and it would finally culminate after reaching its destination.
