A 10-day training camp for the male and female preachers began today under the banner of Directorate of Training and Dawa of MQI, which is being attended by over 150 scholars. These scholars would be imparted lessons on different branches of Islamic law. After completing training, they would take up the responsibility of spreading the Quranic message of peace, harmony and interfaith dialogue throughout the country under the Irfan-ul-Quran course.
Brigadier (R) Iqbal Ahmad Khan (Naib Amir-e-Tehreek MQI), said while addressing the Seminar that the yardstick to measure leader’s stature has transformed. He said that knowledge, vision, justice, fair play, compassionate but firm & resolute, heart of steel & rock solid nerves, composure in adversity, self-discipline & selflessness are the main traits & qualities of leadership.
The proceedings of the Conference formally went underway with recitation from the Holy Quran by Sadaf Iqbal from Minhaj-ul- Qur’an Women League followed by special salutations invoked on the Holy Prophet PBUH. Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate (Secretary General MWL) presented the welcoming address and talked about the objectives of this conference. Introducing the topic to the participants, she held that the exalted Imam (R.A) embraced martyrdom to safeguard the identity of Islam and denounce the ugly face of extremism, bigotry, terrorism, massacre and violation of human rights collectively known as yazidiat.
On December 19, 2010 a program was held at Minhaj Ul Quran Center New Jersey USA for the remembrance of Shahadat e Hazrat Imam Hussain RA. There were a large number of men , women and youngsters who attended the event. The program started at 3.30 pm after Asr Prayer. After Quran Khawani, the formal proceedings of the program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Osama Waseem followed by recital of Naat by Faqir Muhammad, Manzoor Elai and Muhammad Rashid (Raqam ul Horoof).
At the new centre of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Copenhagen, on the 19th of December, the Shahdat-e-Imam Hussain R.A Conference was organized by Women League in which a large number of women from Copenhagen and surrounding areas participated.

Minhaj School of Islamic Sciences, London, organized and proudly presented the annual ‘Results Day’ ceremony for the students of Minhaj evening school. The ceremony took place on Friday 17th of December 2010.
A book stall was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Isa Khel on 15 December, 2010. The stall featured selected books by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in Urdu, English and Arabic languages along with CDs and DVDs of his speeches, talks and interviews. Lecturers, professors, poets, academicians and students of Isa Khel visited the stall in large number and liked the books and CDs of Shaykh-ul-Islam.
Miss Rafaqat Kahloon Advocate paid a two-day visit to MQI Women League Karachi on 12 and 13 December, 2010. In addition to presiding over and addressing the Zahra-e-Sani (Sayyida Zainab SA) Conference in National Museum Auditorium Karachi, her visit featured several meetings and visits to various Women League and MQI Karachi institutions.
Secretary General Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate has said that Minhaj-ul-Quran is the legatee to the legacy of Imam Hussain (RA) and Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, the heir to the heritage of Sayyida Zainab (SA). Addressing the Zahra-e- Sani (Sayyida Zainab SA) Conference organized Minhaj-ul-Quran Karachi in National Museum Auditorium Karachi, on 12th December, 2010, she paid tribute to the historic role Sayyida played in making the humanity and the coming generations recognize the ugly face of Yazid and his abettors, and transfer to them the courage and strength to gag their nonsense against the glory of the Prophet and his kindred.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International Berlin and Center for inter-religious Dialogue Berlin Moabit jointly arranged charity evening in the town hall of Tiergarten District on 10.12.2010. His Excellency Mr. Khayyam Akbar, acting ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Christian Hanke, Mayor of Tiergarten District, Mr. Karl-Heinz-Niedermeyer, spokesman of Experts Committee for International Politics of SPD Party, Mr. Breitkreuz, spokesman for ZiD, Mr. Faiz Ahmd, President of MQI Berlin, Mrs. Anna Traub ZiD, Mrs. Naheed Imran, representative Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League and Mr. Mohammad Irshad, General Secretary MQI Berlin, were also present at the occasion.

MQI demands of the government to take stringent security measures
Under the auspices of Dawa department of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League a workshop was organized in the Conference Hall of MQI Secretariat Lahore on Dec 4, 2010. The secretaries Da’wa, organizers of Halaqajat–e-Durood and Mualimat from local chapters of Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Depalpur, Kamonke, Sialkot, Sargodha and Gojra attended the workshop.
A training workshop was conducted under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Training department at MQI Secretariat Lahore on Dec 4, 2010. The secretaries training of the local chapters of MWL deployed in the field attended the workshop. The workshop was organized to impart training to the Nazimat Training in MQI ideology, organizational and administrative techniques and putting the training activities in the field in order.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation, a charity organization under Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has been engaged in welfare activities since its inception. It has focused its attention and energies on health, education and general welfare. MWF has a vast network, whose vibrancy and dynamism was visible during the relief and rescue operations following the worst floods in Pakistan’s history.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation & Dar-ul-Ehsan Welfare Society jointly hosted a congregational marriage ceremony at Khanqah Dogran on November 20, 2010 in which marriage of ten couples was organized. The ceremony was attended by Director of MWF Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, MNA Sardar Irfan Doager, Dr Sheikh Muhammad Jamil Akhtar, Dr Muhammad Hafeez, Dr Maria Hafeez, Pir Muhammad Mazhar Qadri and Mian Muzaffar Hussain.
