MQI delegation condoles with Justice (r) Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday over death of his wife
Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM) organized a seminar at Minhaj-ul-Quran Sale Centre under the chairmanship of General Sectary of MSM Rawalpindi, Mr Sagheer Ali Mustafavi. Finance secretary MSM Rawalpindi, Mr Farrukh Bilal was the special guest on the occasion. A large number of students attended the seminar.
By the Blessings and mercy of Allah and Holy prophet (saw) a programme focussing on the solution of current problems of ummah was organised by MQI Luton. Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was invited as a Chief Guest and main speaker. The programme was sponsored by managing committee of central Mosque Luton. The programme started immediately after Maghrib prayer.
LONDON. In wake of news reports that extremist groups are influencing British students, the timing for the seminar on the topic of ‘Poverty, Radicalism and Religion’ could not be more pertinent. A London based organisation Minhaj-ul-Quran UK held a seminar at the Houses of Parliament to explore the root causes of extremism and radicalism in Britain and find methods of tackling the issue.

Sayyida Zainab Conference was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Shorkot Tanzeem which was attended by women in hundreds. Doctors, lecturers and the University students also participated in the conference. The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by beautiful Nasheed and Manqabat. Mohtarma Shauqia Tabassam extended warm reception to the participants.
A lecture on "Materialism and Spiritualism" was arranged by MYL Nelson in collaboration with MQI Nelson on 8th January 2010. Brother Adnan Sohail performed the duty as stage secretary. Qari Sayyid Yousuf Shah made beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran and Brother Kabir Hussain from the adjacent town of Burnley, presented a nasheed and then also recited a manqabat in the honour of Hazrat Imam Hussain R.A.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that, as in case of superiority of soul over matter, in the same way, spiritual relationships enjoyed superiority and preference to those of blood. The relationship with religion is far superior to that of the world. Unless we regarded these relationships superior, there would be no benefit. Therefore, It is important to hold the spiritual and religious relationship in high esteem.
Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President Federal Council of MQI and venerable son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri paid a visit to Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project, Halifax on Thursday 7th January 2010. The program went underway with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and Durood Sharif by Muhammad Javid Akhtar, head of the Minhaj Education Project Halifax.
Minhaj Reconciliation Council, a sub-branch of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Greece), has started functioning regularly. "Peace Conference" was held in October 2009 to formally inaugurate the Council, which was attended by a large number of people, representatives of different social, religious and political organizations of Greece. Ijaz Ahmad Warriach, president of Minhaj Reconciliation Council (Europe) was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr Ali Akber Qadri leaves for Nepal
On January 5, 2010, Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League organized a Workers Convention to mark its 22nd foundational day, which was presided over by Mohtarma Qura-tul-Ain Fatima, daughter of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. A large number of sisters and workers of MWL participated in the Convention. Ms Fatima Mash`hadi, president of MWL, Ms Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate, Secretary General, Dr Noshaba, Ms Rafia Ali, Ms Farida Sajjad, and other central and provincial office holders were also in attendance.
On January 4, 2010, Mustafavi Students Movement (Sisters) organized a debate competition on the topic of "Role of Sayyida Zainab (R.A) and today's students" in the dining hall of central secretariat, which was attended by female students of different schools, colleges and universities from Lahore. The formal proceedings of the programme got underway with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat.
Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of MQI's Federal Council, who is currently on visit of England, held a meeting with Dr Martin Whittingham, Director of Muslim-Christian Studies Centre (Oxford University), on January 3, 2009. The University administration had extended special invitation to Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri for meeting and visit.
On the occasion of 22nd foundational day of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, 3-day celebrations were held at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. January 3, 2010 was celebrated as a tribute to Mohtarma Riffat Jabeen Qadri, mother of Tehreek and paragon of determination & resolve.
Senior executive members of MQI-Nagova-Japan visited Central Secretariat MQI on Sunday, 1st Jan, 2010. The Delegation of MQI-Nagova Japan comprised of Mr. Ali Imran (President), Mr. Raja Rizwan (Senior Vice President), Mr. Ejaz Kiyani (General Secretary), Mr. Raja Zahoor (Joint Secretary Finance), Malik Mumtaz (President MQI-Toyama-Japan), Mr. Saad Naseer (Life Member MQI-Malaysia) and Mr. Ehsan-ul-Haq (Life Member MQI-Bahrain).
Senior Advisor on Muslim Communities, Race, Cohesion and Faiths Directorate British Government, Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Visited Minhaj University Lahore and Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on 31st December, 2009. Director Foreign Affairs Mr. Muhammad Mustafa (GM Malik) warmly welcomed him at Central Secretariat MQI and briefed him about the current organizational structure and activities of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
By the grace of Allah SWT and his beloved Prophet (S.A.W), Minhaj-ul-Quran International, London, held its 10th annual New Year’s Dhikr on the 31 of December 2009. A brilliant initiative over the past decade, this New Year’s Dhikr was by far the most successful with the attendance surpassing over 700 brothers and sisters.
Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of Minhaj-ul-Quran Federal Council, reached London on his tour of England. A large number of workers and leaders of MQI received him at the airport. Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri started his organizational tour by presiding over a meeting of MQI UK, attended by the office-bearers. Addressing on the occasion, he said that terrorism was fast extending its tentacles across the world including Pakistan.
Directorate of Tarbiyyat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International held a condolence reference for late Qamer Javed Malik; Deputy Director, on December 30, 2009, which was presided over by Sahibzada Miskin Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani; central Amir-e-Tehreek. Qamer Javed Malik breathed his last a few days ago due to cardiac arrest.
