During the month of Ramadhan Muslim Youth League UK Sisters (MYLUK-S) were involved in presenting radio shows on their local Ramadhan radio stations. The shows were hosted in English language and were aimed at younger listeners, discussing and presenting issues that were of interest to them and related to their needs. This was an opportunity for MYL UK-S to be able to provide informative and knowledge-filled slots over the air waves. Shows were held by MYLUK-S in Glasgow, Oldham, Nelson and Walsall.
Mr. Jose-Lluis, vice President of Catalonia, an autonomous state of Kingdom of Spain, paid a visit to Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre (Catalonia) at the head of an official delegation on October 22, 2009. This visit was in connection with the inauguration of open door session held in Minhaj Islamic Centre Barcelona.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International is engaged worldwide for peaceful coexistence and interfaith tolerance and harmony under the dynamic leadership of its Patron-in-Chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhamamd Tahir-ul-Qadri. In continuation of these efforts of promoting for making peaceful societies in the world, MQI has established Minhaj Peace and Integration Council to work for its objectives the world over.
The College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences of the Minhaj University Lahore arranged an extension lecture on the subject of "Guiding principles for the scholars" on October…… 2009. The renowned educationist, researcher, intellectual, former Dean of Punjab University and Minhaj University respectively and Principal COSIS, Prof Dr Zahoor Ahmad Azhar, was the keynote speaker.
President MQI-NEC UK Mr. Hafiz Abu Adam Al-Sherazi, Secretary Membership NEC-UK Mr. Farhan-ul-Sabah and Mr. Muhammad Iqbal (MQI-Nelson-UK) visited the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International the other day.
The 28th Foundation Day of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was celebrated with traditional fervour on October 17, 2009 in the central secretariat. Besides Nazim-e-Ala and central leaders of MQI, a large number of workers and affiliates of MQI participated in the ceremony held to mark the occasion. Nazim-e-Ala, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, presided over the programme.
A delegation of Directorate of Interfaith Relations of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, led by Director Sohail Ahmad Raza participated in the religious festival of the Hindu community. Evacuee Trust Board of Government of Pakistan had extended a special invitation to the delegation of MQI to participate in the festival which was held on October 17, 2009 in Sri Krishna Temple, Ravi Road, Lahore.
The 8-member US Christian delegation led by Mr. Leif Hetland, President Global Mission Awareness visited the Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on Oct 16, 2009. The other members of the delegation included Dr Marqus Fida, Timothy Hatt, Todd Bevan, Lois Goff, Katherine Rody, Kathy Garker, Jasson Reilly Chris Ishak and Mr. Javed Akhtar.

The monthly spiritual gathering of Gosh-a-Durood under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was held on October 8, 2009, which was attended by a large number of families from across Lahore including women and children. The spiritual moot was termed as ‘inaugural programme of Durood Session for Families”.
The Directorate of Events Management MQI arranged a Farid-e-Millat Caravan to mark the occasion of annual Urs of Farid-e-Millat Hazrat Dr Farid-ud-Din Qadri. The caravan left for Jhang City from the Central Secretariat Lahore on October 6, 2009. It consisted of 12 vehicles and was led by Muhammad Jawad Hamid, Nazim of the Directorate. Central naib Nazim-e-Ala Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri led a special prayer on the occasion. A large number of people also left for Jhang to attend the Urs.
The Urs of Dr Farid-ud-Din Qadri, the revered father of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, will be observed on October 6, 2009 in Jhang. The Urs ceremony would take place after the Isha prayer in which, in addition to the general masses, the renowned religious scholars, intellectuals, Ulama, Qurra and Naat Khawans would participate.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of MQI, has nominated Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri as the President of Federal Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri is an emerging economist and educated young man.
Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM) Rawalpindi organized a seminar on the topic of “Role of students in today’s critical conditions”. The seminar was held in connection with 15th foundational day of MSM in Rawalpindi. The aim of this seminar was to unite the students on one platform. The workers of MSM Rawalpindi had decorated the Press Club Rawalpindi with banners.
